More and more people are discovering modern energy technology. But not every product that works with magnetic fields, heat or crystals follows a clear concept. Two brands that are often compared in the context of natural regeneration are VITORI® and Koanna.

Both promote relaxation, energy, and well-being, but while VITORI® relies on tested, measurable technology, Koanna uses vague descriptions and unsubstantiated assumptions.

1. Two Approaches, Two Worlds

Both brands pursue a common goal: greater well-being through modern energy technology. However, the path to achieving this differs significantly.

Koanna is originally at home in the field of infrared wellness. Lamps, sauna blankets, and heat therapy products form the core of their product range. Infrared deep heat, pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF), Schumann resonance, biophotons, negative ions, and crystals interact with each other. This results in two fundamentally different philosophies: while Koanna focuses on warmth and feel-good design, VITORI® pursues the approach of functional precision and demonstrable effect, developed for people who are looking for more than just warmth.

2. Price and Value for Money, almost identical, but not comparable

At €624 (regular price), the Koanna crystal mat is even slightly above the starting price of the VITORI® Premium Crystal Mat (from €590), but offers significantly less technology. While VITORI® integrates biophotons, chakra crystals, and actively generated negative ions in addition to heat and magnetic fields, these are completely absent from Koanna or are only hypothetically described.²

The frequency control is also limited: VITORI® offers 48 programs (13 + 35 with upgrade controller) and manual fine adjustments from 1 to 30 Hz (1 to 50 Hz with upgrade controller). Koanna, on the other hand, offers four fixed programs, one of which is declared as Schumann resonance (7.8 Hz instead of 7.83 Hz).

3. Applications and Principles of Action, if "assumptions" are not enough

Both systems combine various physical principles, but the difference lies in the details and verifiability. While VITORI® relies on clearly defined, measurable applications, Koanna often uses imprecise formulations and hypothetical statements.

Infrared deep heat

The VITORI® Crystal Mat uses far-infrared radiation to direct heat specifically into the deeper tissue layers. The special layer architecture ensures that the heat energy is directed upwards, i.e., towards the body, and intensified. Koanna also uses infrared technology, but does not provide any information on the structure of the mat or the type of heat distribution.

Pulsed Magnetic Fields (PEMF) and Schumann Resonance

Magnetic field applications are considered a central component of modern regeneration technology. Here, significant differences between the two products become apparent:

Koanna offers four programs, one of which is declared as Schumann resonance, but at 7.8 Hz. This frequency is an approximation, but it does not reflect the physically exact value of 7.83 Hz that VITORI® provides.

There are also clear differences in control: While VITORI® offers up to 48 programs (13 + 35 in the upgrade) and frequencies can be manually adjusted between 1 and 50 Hz, Koanna's programs are fixed. For many users, this means less flexibility, less individuality, and less scope for effectiveness.

Biophotons

Biophotons are light quanta with a wavelength of 660 nm. They are an elementary component of many modern light therapy methods and are used by practitioners in various fields. This application is not offered by Koanna.

Negative Ions

On the Koanna website, it states: "It is believed that heated crystals release negative ions."³ This is formulated as a hypothesis, without measured values or technical explanation.

VITORI®, on the other hand, documents an actively generated ion density of up to 7,000 ions/cm³ through an ionized mineral fabric. The generation is electrically controlled. The two systems thus differ not only in "how much" but also in the technical principle.

Crystals and Structure

The crystal structures also fundamentally differ between the systems. Koanna uses a small selection of three stones: amethyst, jade, and tourmaline. There is no clear structure or energetic assignment. The company's own wording on its website is particularly critical: "Jade supposedly helps with detoxification, strengthening the immune system, and promoting general well-being." Statements with "allegedly" or "it is believed" indicate uncertainty and undermine trust in the actual effect.³

VITORI®, on the other hand, works with seven carefully selected chakra crystals that are meaningfully arranged both thermally and energetically. Each layer has a specific function, from heat conduction to ionization and energetic balance. This creates a structure that is physically coherent and conceptually sound.

The crystals in VITORI® thus serve not only symbolic purposes but also have a technical function: They support heat conduction, store energy, and promote the even distribution of infrared radiation.

4. Scientific Depth, Clear Data instead of Beautiful Words

At the latest when looking at the scientific basis, it becomes clear how different both systems actually are. While VITORI® convinces with verified values, its own pilot studies, and technical traceability, Koanna offers significantly less insight into measurable values and technologies.

A central example is the so-called "CrystalWave™ Technology", a brand name that is neither scientifically defined nor technically explained. To the direct question "Is CrystalWave™ Technology scientifically supported?", Koanna merely refers to a collection of general studies on infrared and magnetic fields. However, none of these sources relate to its own product, the materials used, or the actual functionality of the mat.⁵

This creates an impression of scientific depth without any verifiable connection. Terms like "technology" or "scientifically supported" sound convincing but do not replace concrete evidence. VITORI® works with real measured values, clearly documented frequencies, and disclosed test procedures – no symbolic language, but real data.

At Koanna, it remains unclear how the individual applications are technically linked. There are no details on frequency stability, ion density, or heat distribution. Instead, terms like "CrystalWave™" are supposed to conceal the lack of technical depth. A typical example of marketing vocabulary that creates more impression than information.

VITORI® takes a different approach: The system is based on physically verifiable processes that can be openly communicated and technically verified. Each component, from the ion layer to the magnetic field coils, is part of a real, reproducible setup. No buzzword, but substance.

5. Support and Trust

Anyone investing in a health system expects not only technology but also trust. Koanna only offers email and form support; the phone number provided on the website is explicitly "not a customer service number". Personal availability or telephone consultation? Unfortunately not.

VITORI®, on the other hand, focuses on genuine proximity: personal customer support via phone, email, or even consultations at trade fairs or in its own showroom ensure close customer contact and a widely praised service.

6. Reviews and User Feedback

Looking at reviews on common platforms like Trustpilot, it quickly becomes clear: both companies enjoy high customer satisfaction.

Koanna achieves an impressive 4.8 stars with 992 reviews and seems to have many satisfied customers, especially in the area of infrared products (such as lamps, sauna blankets or masks).⁶

VITORI® also receives almost exclusively positive feedback with 4.5 stars from over 780 reviews. The feedback praises above all the effect, the high-quality material and the personal customer service.

However, looking at the reviews in detail, it is noticeable that a large part of the positive feedback for Koanna refers to products outside the crystal mat area. Red light devices or sauna blankets are often praised. There are only isolated, independent reviews for the crystal mat itself.

Conclusion: Koanna seems to be doing many things right in its core business with infrared products, which is also reflected in many positive reviews for these products. However, in the field of regeneration mats, it cannot build on a similarly broad customer and experience base.

7. Conclusion: two names, a clear difference

Both systems promise increased well-being through modern energy technology. However, how this is implemented and how transparent the companies are in their information could hardly be more different.

Koanna convinces many people with infrared applications and receives numerous positive reviews for it. Especially with heat products, the company seems to have gained a lot of experience, which is reflected in the satisfaction of many users.

However, a different picture emerges for the Koanna Mat. Numerous details remain general, some functions are only assumed or described with formulations such as "it is believed". Measured values, technical details or a clear classification of the applications used are largely missing. For users who want a reliable basis for technical products, this leaves many questions unanswered.

VITORI® pursues a fundamentally different approach. The system is based on precise frequencies, a defined layer architecture, active ion generation, biophoton light and clearly documented parameters. This is supplemented by its own pilot study and publicly verifiable technical data. Every application follows a concept that is physically comprehensible and transparently communicated.

So in the end: If you are primarily looking for warmth and wellness, you will find solid solutions with Koanna. However, if you prefer a technically sophisticated regeneration system with clear parameters, broad application depth and a comprehensible structure, you will find what you are looking for with VITORI®.
