Solidarity in the Christmas season - Vitori® supports children's home in Ranis

Ranis (Thuringia), December 6, 2023 – We associate the Christmas season with many things, such as family, contemplation, and peace. But it also stands for solidarity and charity. These two terms describe an unwavering bond with our fellow human beings. They tell a story of helpfulness and unconditional support.

When, if not now, should such values not only be preached, but also lived? The Pößneck-based healthcare company "VITORI® Health GmbH" also asked itself this question and promptly decided to support the local children's home with a pre-Christmas donation. This donation, emphasizes Christl Müller, the director of the Ranis children's and youth home, "will be used directly for the children."

Donations can be so versatile

The parent company Ranis, to which the donation of 1,000The center, which was opened on Wednesday, December 6th – fittingly for St. Nicholas Day – has three residential groups with 26 places available for children aged 2 to 18. It also includes the Felsenkeller residential group, two apartments on Kirchplatz in Pößneck, and an outpatient family support center in Pößneck. As a facility of the Diakonieverein Orlatal e.VThe available funds for all residential groups, activities, and, of course, the children's Christmas presents are clearly defined. The financial focus is, of course, on the most important things, and additional expenses, such as Christmas presents for the children and young people, are only financed with a fixed and limited amount.

This makes donations all the more important, as they are usually freely available to the children's homes. The 1,000, which Vitori provides to the children's home, are to be used especially for Christmas gifts: "We have considered increasing the gift budget for each residential group by 150and use a large portion of the donation for gifts for the children. The remaining amount will then be invested in the annual Christmas party, where all residential groups come together and celebrate together."

To the surprise of the Raniser Children's Home, the fundraising campaign was expanded to include one of the coveted VITORI® Premium Crystal Mats, which the children and, of course, caregivers, educators and teachers can use for themselves.

The pre-Christmas campaign thus became a joyful event for both the children and the staff of the children's home, which will hopefully also encourage other institutions and private individuals to show solidarity.

Financial support doesn't always have to be involved. Christl Müller emphasizes that the shortage of skilled workers is also a difficult problem to overcome. Applications and ambitious, potential employees are therefore always welcome, and students and interns are also always welcome.

The gift of time is just as valuable as financial contributions. Christl Müller emphasizes that not only expertise and specialist knowledge are needed, but also simple, heartfelt care. Volunteers willing to donate their time can do so in a variety of ways. For example, they can engage with the children through reading alouds or other creative activities. Whether it's hikes, music projects, baking together, or simply playing and having fun, every moment counts. This type of support not only relieves the burden on staff but also enriches the children's lives with unforgettable experiences and a radiant smile.

An action with heart

In addition to the donation to the Raniser Children and Youth Home, VITORI® also participated in the annual wish tree campaign of the Saale-Orla-Kreis Disabled Association e.V.

The wish trees are three Christmas trees at various locations in Pößneck, on which hearts with children's wishes worth up to €20 are hung in cooperation with local schools and kindergartens. The hearts can then be "picked," and the person picking them will have the child's wish written on them fulfilled.

Every year, hearts are left over. To ensure that all children's wishes are granted, VITORI® also contributed €300 to give the children a wonderful Christmas.
